Getting Grounded

This first section explores the differences between being self-employed and being an entrepreneur. We will spend time unpacking the realities of being an entrepreneur; motivation, overcoming obstacles, and balancing competing priorities. This portion of the workshop will encourage attendees to do meaningful reflection on whether they are ready for the demands of entrepreneurship and/or to take the next steps in growing their business.

Getting Started

SECTION #2

The series of topics presented in this section of the workshop focus on the ground work needed to determine whether and how a business venture will be a viable going concern. During this section, there is particular emphasis on financial literacy and what is necessary to maintain financial health. Additionally, we will explain the realities of entrepreneurs paying themselves and why cash flow, not sales, is paramount. Finally, we will raise awareness and offer practical solutions relating to risk management.

Getting it Right

SECTION #3

With the groundwork done, this final section highlights the operational strategies and decisions needed on a routine basis. This section presents tools and frameworks for managing cash needs, effectively reaching customers, and getting products or services out the door. Managing growth and succession planning is often not considered until it’s too late; therefore, we will also explore what entrepreneurs dream of and often fail to plan for, getting out of the business successfully.

POST WORKSHOP SUPPORT

Upon completion of our virtual workshop, we also offer post-workshop support to further explore and refine business ideas or to determine the next steps in your entrepreneurial journey.
